The gym at Purchase College opened its doors to a newly renovated fitness room at the start of the spring 2010 semester. Over $130,000 was spent in construction, $80,000 of which was used to purchase equipment.

Veronica Slattery, a junior and member of the women's soccer team, said she was pleased with the new environment. “I didn’t think our fitness center was big enough. It was bunched together and crowded. But now there are more sections, and it's much more accommodating.”
