At this week's PSGA meeting held on Wednesday, March 3, the Senate appointed a co-chair for the Elections Committee and passed a motion to create the Campus Initiatives Committee. "Let us take your suggestions so we can improve the campus," said Coordinator of Finance Nico Marceca when pitching the idea to the Senate.

PSGA Blog Number 16: New CoHaD and Athletic Senators Elected

On Wednesday, Feb. 24, the PSGA appointed a new Coordinator of Histories and Documents and two athletic senators. The new CoHaD, Daniel Nanni, said, “I’m excited to contribute to the school and help the PSGA become a little more organized.” The new senators said involvement in the PSGA would help athletes to become more recognized. “I feel like we could get more students to come to our events and bring the whole Purchase community together,” said Athletic Senator Brian Thompson.

On Wednesday, Feb. 3, the PSGA met to discuss the security issues at the Stood and financial matters. It was announced that Coordinator of Histories and Documents Steve Sabel and Commuter Senator Courtney Heberling have resigned and guest speakers from NYPIRG and the class of 2010 senior gift committee asked the PSGA for support on various projects.

On Wednesday, Jan. 27 the PSGA held their first meeting of the spring semester. The primary issue was the introduction of candidates to fill the newly-vacant Senate seats. There are openings in the Music Conservatory, Alumni Village, and Fort Awesome.

PSGA Blog Number 11: Sabel Impeached Despite Executive's Pleas to Reconsider

Coordinator of Histories and Documents Steve Sabel was impeached by the Senate on Wednesday, Nov. 18 moments after Coordinator of Finance Nico Marceca urged the Senate to reconsider the proposition.

In response to the accusations presented by former Parliamentarian Russell Zambito at Sabel, Marceca filed charges against all but three members of the Senate. However, his plea was ultimately discarded as the Senate validated the impeachment shortly after.
